Welcome!

Welcome to Beauxbâtons Academy!

Beauxbâtons Academy (BBA) is a high-level RPG placed in modern times for both new and experienced intelligent roleplayers who share a love of the Harry Potter world. We here at BBA are absolutely dedicated to providing the best role-playing environment possible. As such, the rules and requirements are suitably stricter, suiting for a high-class institute like Beauxbâtons. To avoid conflicts of character and to ensure exciting new plotlines, Beauxbâtons Academy of Magic is set in an alternate universe - a universe in which Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort, and company never existed - however, the school has its own canon, a rich and multifaceted history.

BBA welcomes roleplayers from anywhere in the world, although our students are strictly European - largely from France, but a small percentage from neighbouring countries in Europe. Roleplayers are not expected to know or be able to speak French - Besides the names for areas of the castle and grounds, very little of the RPG is in French. English is the primary language spoken on the board, and translation from the French present on the board is readily available for those seeking it.

Beauxbâtons Academy of Magic is an RPG that differs strongly from other Harry Potter RPGs in that we are fairly strict in our entrance standards. Additionally, BBA encourages versatility and therefore offers a wide range of nonstandard coursework and practical information in day-to-day teaching. Independent study is also considered for students performing above and beyond expectations. The school is heavily academic, as it has recently relocated and not yet equipped to handle its own quidditch league - however, athletics are also encouraged, and the local team, Les Abraxans de Beauxbâtons regularly participate in the HSOM Quidditch League. The vast sprawling grounds boast easy access to Paris (via Floo) and Vichy, as well as a dense forest, lovely meadows, a river, and mountainous scenery.

For more information, please feel free to contact the school at the e-owl address AidezMoi@bbamagic.com.
